Caterpillars and Butterflies

by fleet1ng on May 4, 2010

Hey M,

Why did you ever stop believing in me?
I have never done so with you.
You may have never thought about it, but I do.
I still do care, not the way as it was,
But I do.

Remember when I tell you your good at this and that.
When you deserve that for yourself.
I see through you and the best that you can be.
And it has always been like that.

Love blossoms caterpillars,
that’s the way it should be.
Why do I feel that I have failed you M?
Why do you hide the butterfly from me?

Cocolare and Secret Dreams

by fleet1ng on May 2, 2010

I think Cocolare @ Secret Dreams writes some of the better humanly-relating provoking clauses for, I guess, a yuppie other than Tals Diaz. Tals and her writing were some creative presentments which I grew up with around my college years. Her antics on a whole lot of subjects (indie mostly) gave me a perspective on living life and its color while Cocolare resonates about relationships and herself – introverted and sensing seems to be some of her personality traits.

What I really do like is how she takes the words from her mind, soul and heart, tears and joy whatever, then animates them to life in her writing. Set in dull plain white background, it is similar to watching the clouds move about on a fine blue sky day. You listen to yourself breathe then you understand. Altogether.

Pinging pingomatic.com

I’m just almost there with Pingomatic.com and their current lack for multi-browser support. I LOVE their service; they’re simple, elegant and having understood site usability with the end-users in mind.  Most other sites in their niche would tend to queue the submissions and hold up your browser for 2-3 minutes – this is where Pingomatic simply rocks.

They have however lately been failing me (including you as well) and my trusty Firefox right after Pingomatic received their makeover. Forget usability in mind – the only browser they work without problem is on Internet Explorer. The rest of the browsers get some text fields missing or some random debug message. =c

I’ve tried commenting on their blog to inform them of the problem but I guess it never made it.

(noone)@fleet1ng:~ > ping pingomatic.com … … … :(

Below are some screenshots. I’m (hopefully) pretty sure it’s not a problem on my end.

Is it working for you?

My Windows Uptime

by fleet1ng on March 28, 2010

No, contrary to clamors that Windows fails in comparison to other Operating Systems, a secured Windows box can actually perform without trouble. This might not be so much news for some but the thought that you can actually get back to work without relaunching the whole lot of documents because of a reboot is an anxiety reliever.

I’d have to admit though that there were instances where Winamp would crash or was Dexpot the culprit. Point of the matter is, I’ve discovered something sexy about Windows. =(

No perspective to sarcasm here. Just plain happy me sharing that I ♥ Windows for keeping things simple for me to work, but Linux is still definitely sexy. Yes, definitely!
